After I read the story, I feel that Dr. Jekyll is a successful man. I think he's successful because of the following reason: He did what he want to do even thought it is never good to let your evil-self rise, and he knew where to stop and took responsibility of his fault. I wasn't surprise for the final reveal of the case that Mr. Hyde and Dr. Jekyll was actually one person. I have the feeling for that since this is the strange case, I shouldn't be so simple. I like the theme of the story it make me feel evil myself, so time people have to think about evil for a little bit, then they shouldn't actually do evil things. The writing style of Stevenson make it hard to follow at the beginning, but it is much easier when I get familiar with this style and I know where to focus on. I think Stevenson use this to show that human in general contain two self, the good and evil, he add the drug affect for Dr. Jekyll to bring out the evil is a way to exaggerate the conflict.
